Statement on the Death of Pope Francis

1936 – 2025

Confident in the deathlessness of God, Pope Francis entered eternal life the day after celebrating the resurrection of God’s Son. We, the Pastoral Council of All Inclusive Ministries, mourn the passing of our leader in the faith. We bless his memory for his willingness to compassionately listen to marginalized individuals and communities as he lived the complexity of bridging tradition and progress. We were heartened by his encouragement of Catholics who pray and work for the full inclusion of LGBTQ+ people in the Body of Christ. We trust in the Holy Spirit that the Church he shepherded will continue to grow as the communion of all those who put their faith in God’s boundless love.
